Yamaguchi Sightseeing Taxi
This is a sightseeing Taxi course focusing on Hofu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. In addition to Hofu Tenmangu Shrine, Eiunso, the final resting place of Baron Motohiko and Miwako, and the cemetery, the tour includes a walk along Tenjin Street from "Ume Terasu" station to Hofu Ginza Shopping Street (Happy Street), among the streets leading from Hofu Tenmangu Shrine.

Hofu-tenmangu is a shrine worshipping Michizane Sugawara who is called god of scholarship and worshiped by many loyalists such as Katori and Shinsaku Takasugi. Also it is said that Hofu tenmangu was built as first tenmangu shirne in Japan.

This was a base of Mouri navy. There were residences of navy nearby and still name of place are used. Only a moat and part of waterway for ship remain.
Eiunso is located at the end of Hagiokan route. Hagioukan route is one of the town street built in Edo period for the many purposes such as feudal load visiting Edo shogunate.
They are buried at the cemetery of Dairakuji temple in Hofu. Katori was deceased on August 14th 1912, Miwako was September 7th 1922.
Katori couple moved from Tokyo to Mitajiri in1893. There is still their building remains.
