This is a sightseeing Taxi course focusing on Hofu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The main attractions are Hofu Tenmangu Shrine and Eiunso. Depending on the season, you may also enjoy Tenjin-Hamo (pike eel).

Hofu-tenmangu shrine
Hofu-tenmangu is a shrine worshipping Michizane Sugawara who is called god of scholarship and worshiped by many loyalists such as Katori and Shinsaku Takasugi. Also it is said that Hofu tenmangu was built as first tenmangu shirne in Japan.
Roadside station "Umeterasu"
Umeterasu is popular place as a starting point of Hofu sightseeing, which provides recommended sightseeing area and local information.
Eiunso
Eiunso is located at the end of Hagiokan route. Hagioukan route is one of the town street built in Edo period for the many purposes such as feudal load visiting Edo shogunate.
Cemetery of Katori & Miwako
They are buried at the cemetery of Dairakuji temple in Hofu. Katori was deceased on August 14th 1912, Miwako was September 7th 1922.
Final destination of
Katori and Miwako
Katori couple moved from Tokyo to Mitajiri in1893. There is still their building remains.
Tenjin-Hamo (pike eel)
(Limited season)
Tenjin Hamo (pike eel) is a dish prepared by artisans who have honed their skills at "Hamo Juku" in order to serve local natural pike eel while it is still fresh in the local area.
